At Orphans Concern, we believe every child deserves dignity, safety, and a nurturing environment. Through our infrastructure projects, we are transforming orphanages across Liberia—one building, one hand pump, one playground at a time.
Here are impactful projects we’ve completed in partnership with local orphanages and communities:
Restoring Dignity with a Bathroom
At Life Village, 26 orphans had no access to a safe bathroom and had to go outside at night. We built a 4-stall bathroom (2 for boys, 2 for girls), ensuring safety, privacy, and hygiene for every child.
Replacing Buckets with Bathrooms
Children at Denny Fenny were using buckets at night due to a lack of toilets. We constructed a proper bathroom facility for 34 orphans, giving them comfort and restoring their dignity.
A Playground That Builds Confidence
With no place to play and facing bullying from the community, the children at Sis Iye were isolated. We built a recreational playground that now serves 150+ children from the school and orphanage, offering fun and freedom.
A Hall for Faith and Fellowship
Before, 41 children had no dining area or chapel. Meals were eaten outside. We constructed a multi-purpose hall that now serves as both a dining area and chapel—a central space for community and spiritual growth.
Clean Water for All
Children were bullied by the community and denied access to an unsafe well. We installed a new handpump serving 32 orphans and over 2,000 people in the surrounding community. Water is now safe, clean, and freely accessible.
Beds, Lights, and Comfort – Christian Agriculture & Orphanage Program, Brewersville
Over 30 children slept on worn-out beds in dark dorms. We provided new beds, mattresses, clean bedding, and lighting—giving every child a restful night and a safer living space.
