The Board Will Amongst Others:
Provide strategic guidance to the organization and contribute to the wider dissemination of its activities. Ensure outreach to key partners. Provide strategic advice on the management and operations, Assist with stakeholders’ analysis, and seek external collaboration for the organization. The Board will also assist with the resource mobilization programs of the organization, including identifying possible sources of funding and other needed resources.
They Will Review and adopt the strategic plans including addressing the organization’s strategies for promoting sustainability and setting goals. Endorse management proposal of monitoring the implementation of the strategic plan by the management.
The Mandate also Provides general oversight of the conduct of the organization’s business and operations, evaluates whether its business is being properly managed and provides counsel on the way forward. Identify principal risks faced by the organization and advice on the implementation of appropriate internal controls and mitigating measures to address such risks.
Further, the Board Will Provide leadership to enable the organization’s objectives to be met within the framework of internal controls as described in the operation documents. Review and advise on the adequacy and integrity of the organization’s internal control and management information system, including systems for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines periodically. Deliberate on proposals presented and recommended, including those proposed by its members.
